The dubbing is off. It's not your ear playing tricks, apparently the actors originally spoke Mandarin on set, but the version on GagaOOLala is dubbed into Cantonese ( y'all know moviebox main source is GagaOOLala)🙄🙄 So you get that weird effect like the mouth movements don't match the words, the emotion feels delayed, and some lines sound flatter than the actor's face. It makes the dialogue feel a bit stiff and rigid, so it pulls you out of the scene🫠🫠 It's not terrible, you get used to it by ep 2, but in ep 1 it's super noticeable because there's a lot of close-ups and whispering. I kept turning my volume up in ep 1 thinking it was my phone 😭😭
